Hydranean Problem, Herculean Answer....

The Lernaean Hydra was an ancient multiple headed Greek monster. With many heads, even the courageous of heroes feared the Hydra due to the astounding advantage it had, every time one of its head was cut off 2 would emerge at its place.
The Kashmir issue has the same attributes as Hydra. It has become so deep rooted and messy that finding a solution might be the next thing to impossible, but still very much possible and every time 2 more problems grow in the place of the earlier one were it to be solved. Since partition took place there has been a lot of enmity in the minds of both sides. Partition was a big failure for which we are paying a price even today and I suppose it will continue for a long time. I see it basically as a compromise accepted to get the “first prime minister” title for Nehru, mainly being the favourite of Gandhi. The lust of power of the politicians then of acquiring the ‘gaddi’ led to the division of Hindustaan. Elections were not conducted and a land for Muslims was carved out from our motherland. Had that issue been handled with great understanding we might have had “Akhanda Bhaarat” as a reality and not a dream. Keeping aside this first mistake and rather than launch a tirade against those who have left us a lot of pain to bear I will prefer moving on to the situation as of now. The politicians then are a part of history and what we have on our hands is a tough battle for Kashmir and Hindustaan.

Having a room mate from Jammu & Kashmir does help me to know more about the actual state of affairs in Kashmir. Throughout my discussion I have tried to raise a few solutions and he always manages to put to light another loop hole of this heavily entangled problem.
After gathering information from him and reading posts, blogs and articles some of which I have linked with this blog, I have formulated my opinion and stated the solution to this affair and I would await counter questions from all of you.

The people of Kashmir are being used as the foot soldiers/pawns in this classic battle of Chess. The separatists of Kashmir can be attributed to the Bishops, Knights and Rooks while the true King and Wazir are the handlers from Pakistan – the extremist lobby comprising of all the Terrorist factions. To solve any problem one can say attack at the roots, i.e. the epicentre of the cause but our spineless, selfish politicians lack the will power and the passion necessary for it and hence the major route to the solution has to be kept aside till the time that a true patriot is in charge of the nation as a leader and not a politician.
Moving onto the secondary rung of rule in this camp we have the separatists who are spitting upon the culture of Bhaarat. I questioned why they can’t be brought to book and handled sternly to stop their anti-nation tactics and then was reminded of the Article 370, one of the strongest and toughest road block on the path of solution. Article 370 grants special rights to the land of Kashmir. This makes them a separate entity. They have their own rules, laws and governance. In the agreement signed by Maharaja Harisingh in 1947 when he agreed to the military intervention of our forces to stop Pakistan occupying the whole of Kashmir and in return acceded to the Indian State there is no mention of the fact that it was Pakistan who first attacked Kashmir which has allowed the successive Pakistani governments to claim that they had intervened to stop Bhaarat from occupying Kashmir and here comes the deadlock. So, effectively the government can play act as a mute spectator rather than undertake concrete measures with the excuse of Article 370. So, bolstered by this article the anti-Bhaarat forces run amok with the faith that nobody can stop them for any damn crime they commit. They continue fueling the hatred and the people lap it all up resulting in stone pelting, shooting and what not!

Well, I believe if the article is the big obstacle then it needs to be scrapped. It is injustice on other citizens of this country. The taxpayers money collected from the country helps Kashmir to survive and this is what we get in return! If the Indian constitution can make it, then it can also scrap it. According to the special powers of the President of India the article can be scrapped without the consent of the State Government but then we again arrive at the point of political will and national passion. If that is done, what about the vote bank? The politicians divide us on communal lines and we let them do it. It comes a full circle. Thus the trend is similar, any time I think this might work and there is some or the other obstacle which shoots down the whole idea. This is a view we have as citizens and I am darn sure that the politicians have much better grasp on the situation and thus in a much better position to find out the appropriate solution. It is a tough task and difficult matter to handle but if they can display the same skills when they swindle money I believe even this can be solved.
What we see today is a grand example of a deadlock of thoughts. The anti-Bhaarat forces would keep on shouting about how Muslims are treated cruelly and denied freedom in this country and latching on this false notion are many more ignorant fools. We have heard the dialogue in movies that there are more Muslims here in Hindustaan than in Pakistan and they consider this their home and because of select few extremists how the entire community has to suffer. I appreciate the fact that such persons have protested against the radical attacks and activities against Bhaarat.

"People generally quarrel because they can't argue"
G. K. Chesterson

I find this quote appropriate to the men who matter regarding this issue. They make a lot of noise instead of arguing about the differences and effectively communicating them and facilitating the formulation of much needed answers. One can't explain logic to a person who has shut himself off from enlightenment. I think its high time trying to get them on the talk table and not doing anything in the process.
We should try to convince such forces of letting go of their anti-nation sentiments as they too are a part of Hindustaan but if any anti-nation faction is growing strong it has to be squashed for the greater good even if they be our own people. Like any terrorist such a faction is a part of the entire machinery of hatred and it has to be dismantled and demolished lest it pulls down this nation into the abyss.
But then this has to be done by those who possess the power to do so. At the present moment that is a big problem! National security has always been a matter to laugh about for the governance body. This incompetence encourages foreigners like Alexander Stubb to advocate 3rd Party Mediation in the Kashmir issue. He is the Finnish foreign minister who said this on a recent visit to Bhaarat. I don't know why in the hell does he think of advising us on issues which are of no concern to him! Foreign intervention has already cost us a part of Kashmir, Thank you Chachaji! I think we should understand such past mistakes and not repeat them. No one advises Israel on what to do as they have set a high standard and do only what they think is right for their country. This attitude demonstrated by the Finnish Minister is a culmination of 'We(Indian System) do nothing' ! How long are we going to do just nothing?
These politicians do nothing as that is how they have been conditioned! Doing nothing syndrome starts early. We won't be any different when in place of power if we also do nothing about issues which we can influence and cause a change in now!

The process of change starts early. We can reach the dream of a Super Power if we start it from ourself first so that when somebody among us does reach the position of power we will see the effect of our efforts in reality. ( For this/these person(s), scrap that bloody article first!)

The solution according to me is a military suppression in such a scenario. Its time to be the Hercules who defeated the Hydra. An all out military war on the enemies of Hindustaan. The defence forces have for long being ill-treated by the centre despite their heroic deeds and the efforts they put into keeping you and me safe. We have one of the most powerful defence forces in the world. We might not be the best technologically but I know for sure the Lion Hearted Beings that the army possesses. Though this will cause a flare in animosity but it will at least prevent terrorists and the people they instigate against us to come out in the open and start wreaking havoc by the fear of being killed by the army. It is a temporary solution and no matter how long we keep hacking at the branches the root is well fed in Pakistan. It is too late to salvage anything from the beautiful place of Kashmir by the "non violence method". Our enemies will keep on brawling about the past and not let go off it to have a better future for the people they supposedly care about!

If the nation today has to lead a better life, Kashmiri anti-Bhaarat sentiments have to be silenced till the time comes when the tree of hatred planted by the radicals is uprooted from its roots in Pakistan. Time and again I have advocated adopting the Israeli strategy of national security. I am disappointed of the fact that we prefer the nation to be remote controlled from the US and compromise on national security in the process. The situation we face is quite grave in nature and what today is Kashmir can easily be Hindustaan tomorrow as the undercurrent of dissent is growing. This will cause great harm to the nation's prospects of being a super power.
Maybe we might not live to see the day but surely there will be that day when good governance will be a hallmark of Hindustaan. It will be our identity. To make that day a reality my friends, continue sowing the seeds of change and spreading the thoughts of awareness, freedom and national passion.
Cursing the governance is pretty much an easy task compared to living the life of principles. Change starts from the self. Only when the mass wake up to it then there can be its realization. Let not instantaneous fears and failures deter us from our big dream, our goal of a Free Bhaarat, Akhanda Bhaarat.

Jai Hind!
