Analyst, Investor, Student, Animal Lover, Gaming Enthusiast, Saarthi, Hindu Nationalist, Seeker and Chaitanya! I take immense pride as a Bhaaratiya and as a Hindu - I have complete faith that the Sanatani value system can truly guide us towards inner peace which forms the nucleus of all my actions. I like to think of myself as a Thought Provoker and an Inquisitive Traveler committed to my nation’s tryst with destiny - to realize the dreams of Arya Chanakya, Swami Vivekananda, Veer Savarkar, Shivaji Maharaj, APJ Abdul Kalam and many more. My Faith: No cause is lost if there is 1 mad guy left to fight for it! My Motto: God give me courage to change what I can, the strength to accept what I can’t and the wisdom to know the difference! My Principle: Ask not what the nation does for you, ask what you can do for your nation! My Driving Force: Karen Raven's quote, "Only as high as I reach can I grow, only as far as I seek can I go, only as deep as I look can I see, only much as I dream can I be" My Goal: To make myself a better person today, than what I was yesterday!

The 3rd Side....

Finally, I am posting about the latest Naxal attack. I needed the time to think and find out before I comment on it. I have thought of few points to think upon and keep up the crystallization of our thoughts, my friends.
“Massacre”, “Butchery”, “Cold - Blooded” these adjectives have been used to describe this act. Without getting too judgmental I think all of us need to take a look at all that can happen or all that can be possible. Most of us, with just the media to let us know about anything that happens around the world, accept it to be true. But there have been many cases where there have been false implications regarding the matter.
There is a statement in the Bhagavad Geeta which goes as follows-
“The opposite of plain truth is false while that of profound truth can be another profound truth. Not all pro’s & con’s are presented always, there might be a hidden 3rd side.”
I am sure we surge with anger whenever our countrymen are killed, but I believe we must take a calm approach and address this Naxal issue. Remember, there is no action without a reason. The reason might be trivial, but it is always there.

The Naxal affected areas in Bihar, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Orrisa, West Bengal and Maharashtra are predominantly jungle areas. Resources are scarce, people generally are from a tribal background with means of livelihood being very acute. They don’t have that TV, Internet, good schools, Barista, Domino’s, MacD, Movie theatres for their use. So, they need the help of the government. Not to make them dependant on us, but to make them self sustaining.
The government does set up schemes for the tribals. They set aside huge sums of money and grants. But, this never reaches the tribals for their upliftment. A kg of honey is traded for a kg of salt with these tribals !!
Imagine living in jungles with no fancy clothes, fancy cars, toys, electronics and stuff and then being totally cut off from the world. Don’t they deserve a fair chance? I won’t say they should be given stuff for free and then the reservation and all. I say, they should have a fair chance. A chance to excel, a chance for fame, glory and a safe, happy life.
Have we ever asked ourselves why they have picked up arms and trained to attack? We label them terrorists without confirming. They might me, but they might not be too. I don’t think rejecting the possibility of the latter is the solution to this.
Just for a moment we should place ourselves in their shoes and ask ourselves a few questions; one, what would we do had our own government/people confined us to a place and not let us out. Its like being in a jail, cut off from all. Two, if we had been confined to a jail what would we have done to come out? Would we have fought, if need be with arms?
Quoting Shaheed Bhagat Singh, “Violence for self defense is justified, it becomes an act of freedom and not a crime”.
Their land is continuously encroached upon to upgrade infrastructure and they are being backed into a corner. I maintain that development is essential but the projects are handed over to some unethical builders to satisfy the greed for money of the politicians and builders and their egos too at the expense of the tribals.
Now, has the media viewed the complete picture before commenting?
It is necessary to take a look at the issue from all the possible angles. I personally believe that neither the Armed Forces nor the Naxals are responsible for the killing of so many persons before and the civilians a few days back. It is the collective responsibility of the concerned politicians to address the issue and find out the solution, to curb their greed for money and power and look into many such plagues in this nation. The Armed forces and the civilians are paying a huge price for no fault of theirs. The politicians are not the ones to die, right? They are just using the whole thing to fill up their coffers.
I would like to remind all those who have forgotten, including those internal enemies, this country is not only Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. Its way beyond that. There are many more regions which need to be stitched together into a smooth fabric, a fabric of “Akhanda Bhaarat”, i.e. a unified Bhaarat working as a cohesive unit to development.
Instead of broadcasting news about whether Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is pregnant or not, try uncovering such truths and letting the people know about it would be much better and progressive.
We curse the politicians of what they do, right? Remember, we are the next generation, the future of this country and if we are to make sure that the generation after us is going to look upto us as the leaders and game changers of the future of this great nation, we need to start taking the efforts now itself. If not there would be no difference in us and today's politicains. All of us can just try perfecting ourselves and the rest will take care of itself.
Now, whatever the answers to the questions mentioned earlier in the blog; Irrespective of what the outcome will be and who is the real culprit in this Naxal war, I think all of us should spare a thought for all those involved. I believe all of us should take an all round view on this issue before reaching to an opinion or conclusion.
While arms and ammunition never give a long term solution, it ensures that the deaf also hear about the cause. It is necessary to stop this bloodshed for the growth of all in the right direction. The onus is on those who are in power. Wiping them off can’t be the solution and hence I respect the act of P. Chidambaram of offering to discuss and solve the issue. Is this a move to capture them and defeat them, a deceitful act, a farce, only time will tell. But, only talks won’t suffice, there needs to be action first, a positive step from the government before the Naxals respond positively.
It would be unwise to speak with conviction about who is correct, but all I believe is that there should be an all round thought rather than jumping the gun. A thought which will let us know the absolute truth rather than just 1 side of the coin, look at all possibilities in this issue like it happens when 2 siblings quarrel. The mother hears both of them out and then solves the matter.
Whatever the absolute truth, it is deterrent to the national interest. It will be harmful for the nation to have such resistance pockets inside the country. As these are the battlefronts of our enemies to continue the cultural and an economic divide. Divide and conquer, that is what is happening. Instead of tagging them as terrorists, let us address the problems, solve them and integrate these tribals into the social fabric. We have seen how the foreign invaders, the Mughals, the British, the Greeks defeated us in history. They did it as they could divide the nation then. What is happening now? Isn’t history repeating itself? Are we going to oppose when we have been occupied? What is it then the history has taught us? What have we learned from all those martyrs? Remember, there would be no nation to defeat if this goes on. It will be many countries and sadly, we will lose to these tactics of our enemies if we don't unite and take decisive and correct decisions now and act accordingly.
Please, let us all wake up to this reality. For those who ask, what can we do about it, we are helpless and all this, I appeal to them that composing your own character will be the start of the journey. If everyone today pledges to reform himself/herself, it is more than enough to reform the country.

Let us Fight!
Let us Live Free!

Jai Hind!
